Currently enrolled students may be eligible to receive a $500 federal grant and are encouraged to submit a form to check their eligibility with the Fullerton College Financial Aid Office.
Fullerton College received $4.85 million from the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF), made possible by the CARES Act. These funds must be awarded directly to currently enrolled students who have been negatively impacted by the pandemic and are eligible to receive federal financial aid. Students who submit the eligibility form and qualify, will receive a $500 grant.
Awards will continue until available funds are exhausted. Any remaining eligible students will be placed on a virtual waiting list in case more funding is available at a later date.
The federal program does not yet provide support to Dreamers, so the college is actively pursuing opportunities to repurpose state categorical Student Equity and Achievement funds to provide grants to undocumented students. More details will be shared when they are available. In the meantime, interested students are encouraged to reach out to the Grads To Be program.
The Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) interest form will be active through May 22.
