An Update on Fullerton College’s Gradual Return

July 07, 2021

Dear Students,

Fullerton College is preparing to welcome you back to campus in a safe, gradual reopening for the Fall 2021 term. A full reopening of campus is expected in January 2022.

This fall semester, you have the flexibility to shape your college experience by choosing in-person and/or online services and instruction. Fall registration begins July 7, and we encourage you to consider all of your options when designing your personal fall schedules.

We are fine-tuning many ways the college will support you this fall. Parking will be free; CARES Act grants will be distributed to all students, and we will continue to offer free breakfast and lunch to all students! Please look out for future communications with more details. We will get the word out through email, social media, Canvas, the Fullerton College News Center, and the college’s COVID-19 website.

Until further guidance is provided, Fullerton College will maintain current COVID-19 safety protocols for the remainder of the Summer 2021 term. These protocols require face coverings, social distancing, and check-in procedures for students and employees.

In the coming weeks, Fullerton College will provide clear campus guidance on the safety protocols and in-person hours of operations for the fall semester. Online and virtual services will continue to allow for uninterrupted support and flexibility for students as the college gradually returns to its full in-person capacity.

I want to humbly thank all of our students for striving above and beyond during the pandemic. We are turning an important corner, and we will do it cautiously with optimism.

With appreciation,

Gilbert J. Contreras, Ph.D.
Acting President
Fullerton College
