Study Abroad Students, Faculty Return Home Safely

March 23, 2020

All thirty-two students and two faculty members have safely returned from London after having to cut their spring Study Abroad Program short. In addition to ending the current program early, the summer program in Kyoto, Japan and fall session in Rome, Italy have been cancelled.

The London group made the arduous journey home last week and are all self-quarantined at their homes for the required 14-day period established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

“This was quite a stressful experience for our Study Abroad students and faculty, and I am beyond relieved to have them back home in the U.S.,” said President Greg Schulz. “Our team at Fullerton College worked around the clock to ensure their safe return while navigating a rapid pace of changing geopolitical responses to the health crisis.”

The spring 2021 Study Abroad Program in Paris is still being offered, however the Paris Information Sessions that were scheduled for this week, were cancelled. Please visit the NOCCCD Study Abroad website to learn more.
