Dear Students,
First, I hope that each of you is safe. My thoughts have been with you over the past several days. I hope that you have access to the things that you need. I miss the times when we see each other on the quad, in the library and all across our beautiful campus. Until we have that opportunity again, I ask you to be patient and keep trying your best this semester. The faculty and staff of Fullerton College will do everything we can to support you along the way.
As this week comes to a close, I want to take a moment to express my deep respect and admiration for you. There has never been a more unpredictable time to be a college student. At Fullerton College, we are proud of you and we see great potential in you. You will get through this, and someday we will all be able to reconnect in person on campus once again.
On Wednesday, we sent each of our students a survey to better understand the needs that you have and how we can assist you. If you haven’t completed the short survey please do. Your comments will help us understand how we can best support you during these difficult times.
Please continue to communicate directly with your professor about your courses. We have posted a spring semester class list that shows the current status of each class and I encourage you to review this list. We are actively updating the FAQs and Students Resources section on the COVID-19 webpage as we implement more support related to services in Counseling, Academic Support Center, Transfer Center, Grads2Be, Career and Life Planning, EOPS, CalWorks, International Student Center, Financial Aid, Admissions and Records, the Bookstore, Promise Program, Umoja, and many others.
The Fullerton College Food Bank is currently closed along with the rest of the college. However, students may receive the same services at the HUB of Hope by Pathways of Hope at Richman Park. The HUB, located at 611 South Ford Avenue, Fullerton, CA 92832, is open Monday to Friday, 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Call 714-680-3691 ext. 220 for more information.
As of today, March 20, the campus is closed and will remain closed to students and the public until April 12, but as the COVID-19 crisis changes and evolves, that date may be extended. Please continue to check your email and visit our COVID-19 website to stay informed and connected to the college.
More than anything, I want you to know we are here to support you and we believe in you. Please keep going this semester and never give up. Although these times are challenging, your Fullerton College family is with you. I encourage you to do the best that you can. We are doing the best that we can too. And together, we will look forward to celebrating your success, this semester and beyond.
I wish peace and health to you and your loved ones.
Sincerely,
Greg Schulz, Ed.D.
